Summary: When Nino buys this strange bottle on a market, he doesn’t know that he’ll get his very own genie.
Notes: Dear [personal profile] kittykaty , I really hope you enjoy this story, I had so much fun writing this and I hope you'll like it too <3 Thanks to my beta K.
When Nino had found this strange bottle on the market, he didn’t want to buy it, because it was money he’d spend, and he didn’t want to spend any money on unnecessary things, but this item caught his attention. He couldn’t say what it was, because actually this bottle was in no way special. It was a grey bottle with silver patterns on it, which could be signs, but Nino couldn’t read them, so he wasn’t sure if it was an actual language.

“And why the hell do you buy this trash?” Jun asked next to him.

Nino shrugged. “Don’t know. I like it.” He could see Jun roll his eyes. He knew what would come next.

“You don’t even buy new shoes, but you buy a bottle – a grey, absolutely non-special, boring bottle on a rummage sale.” Yes, it was Jun-like to tell Nino every time that he spent too little money on clothes and styling, but Nino didn’t care. He liked the way he was. And he wouldn’t discuss this again.

“Maybe you should concentrate on your boyfriend and his styling?” Nino said. He knew he hit a weak spot, but he couldn’t care less. He didn’t want to explain himself again and again.

“Okay, okay, I am already silent,” Jun said, his hands raised.

Nino smirked. After all the years of being Jun’s best friend he knew the other better than he’d maybe knew himself. “Are we going to the movies tomorrow?” Nino wanted to know. He could see Jun shifting next to him. “Oh, okay, you don’t have time.”

“Sorry,” Jun apologized. “Satoshi and I are going on a short trip. But next week?”

Sometimes Nino was annoyed about Jun’s tight timetable. Since he was in a relationship he had hardly any time for Nino. Not that he wasn’t happy for Jun, but he missed him, maybe also because Nino had hardly any friends except Jun and Satoshi. Most of the time he didn’t care, because he loved being alone, but he missed someone at his side more and more. He shook his head. “It’s okay.”

“But I promise to treat you to the movies next time.” Jun smiled. “Oh, I need to go now. We'll talk later, right?” Jun asked.

“Course, I will write you when I am at home,” Nino answered. He waved Jun goodbye and started his way home. He stared at the bottle in his hands. It really was a boring item, but maybe he would place it on his empty window sill. It wouldn’t look nice, like his neighbour's hundred flowers on the sill, or the small cat, which was always sitting on the sill of the student opposite his apartment, but it would at least fill the emptiness on it.

He slipped out of his shoes when he entered the apartment and went to the kitchen to prepare some cup noodles, one of his favourite fast food dishes. While he waited for the water to boil up he placed the bottle on the sill. It sparkled a little in the sun and the silver letters seemed to turn into gold ones, but probably Nino was imagining that. He went back to the kitchen and prepared his food when he heard a noise in the living room. “Atchu.”

Nino froze. That sounded like someone had sneezed in his apartment, but there was no one other than him there, and he didn’t have the TV turned on. Nino looked around. There was no one in his apartment. He jumped when he heard another sneeze and the bottle on the sill started swaying left and right. Nino blinked. What the hell happened here?

Nino walked to the window. He grasped an old magazine and rolled it together to have a weapon for – yeah, for what? He stepped closer and looked at the bottle. He opened it and looked inside. Nino blinked. There was an apartment inside. An apartment in a bottle? That couldn’t be.

Nino rubbed over the small letters on the outside absent-mindedly. This was definitely a good prank. He thought of using this sneezing bottle in one of his magic tricks. Maybe he would be able to scare Jun with it. He just had to find out how to activate it. “Out of the way,” he heard someone scream and Nino’s heart almost stopped when a man jumped out of the bottle, throwing him to the ground.

Nino yelled out and started gesturing wildly. “Who the hell are you?”

The man sat back on his feet and bowed. “Aiba Masaki – to your service, Master.”

“What?” Nino stared at him. Nino scanned the guy, who looked almost normal to Nino, just that he spoke in a really strange way.

“Oh, I am your genie.” He smiled and stood up, pulling Nino up with him. “So, what are you wishing for?”

“What?” Nino knew he asked the same question again, but he couldn’t think about something more coherent at the moment.

“You bought me – at least I hope you paid for my bottle, and then you rubbed the letters, and here I am.” The man smiled. “Can we just place it somewhere else? I don’t like direct sunlight, I always need to sneeze then.”

“What?” Nino saw the man stepping closer. He poked Nino’s forehead.

“Are you okay?”

“What?” Nino shook his head. “I mean, yes. But what the hell is happening here?” A slight panic made its way through Nino’s body. What if this guy wanted to do something bad to him?

“I am a genie, and I am here to grant your wishes – at least some of them,” Aiba said.

“So I have three wishes like in Aladdin? Like three wishes and you’ll disappear?” Nino wanted to know. “Wait, and I have to share my apartment with you like in I dream of Jeannie?”

Aiba chuckled. “Okay, everyone seems to ask the same questions.” He crossed his arms. “No, you don’t have a limit of wishes, but there are limits for big wishes like money. I can’t give you millions of yen, but a small amount of money, just that this costs you a life point. If you reached five life points, I will disappear.”

“And what wishes cost life points?” Nino got interested. He could really wish for what he wanted?

“I can’t tell you. That’s the risk – you make your wish, and sometimes it’s just a normal wish, and sometimes it’s too important to be just a wish,” Aiba explained. “Oh, and yes, I will live with you, but don’t worry, you can send me to the bottle if you want me to disappear.” Something sad resounded in Aiba’s voice. Nino wasn’t over-sensitive about such things, but this time he recognized that Aiba had probably made some bad experiences.

“Oh, it’s okay. I just don’t know how to explain to my friends that I have a genie at home,” Nino said. He blushed about his own words. He would really let a stranger into his apartment? Someone who jumped out of a bottle? Maybe Nino hoped that he was just dreaming this whole thing. “So, if I wish for something I can’t be sure if it’s a life-point wish?”

“That’s really nice of you.” Aiba’s eyes started sparkling. “And yes, that’s true.”

“So, if I wish for…” Nino started, but Aiba immediately stopped him.

“Think of what you say. Every sentence you spell as a wish, will become an actual wish, even though it’s just a ‘what if’ sentence.”

“Okay, but I wish for some ramen now,” Nino said firmly. He hoped that nothing bad would happen if he’d wish for a simple soup bowl.

“Okay,” Aiba answered. He raised his hand and soon a hot pot stood on the table.

“That smells delicious,” Nino chirped. He sat at the table and took the chopsticks Aiba had let appear with the soup. “Oh, did I wish a five-point-wish?”

Aiba shook his head. “No, everything is okay.” He seemed relieved about Nino’s wish.

“Don’t you want to join me?” Nino asked. Aiba sat opposite. He was good-looking, but Nino had the feeling that Aiba was tired. Not because he had slept too little, but because something was burdening him.

“I'm surprised that you don’t freak out because of a genie in your apartment?” Aiba asked. “All the others screamed much more, or fainted or ran away, or tried hitting me.”

Nino shrugged. He didn’t know it himself, but this genie didn’t look like someone who would knock him out, and Nino had seen stranger things than this here. “My best friend’s boyfriend is a re-lived ghost, so I think I am not really easy to shock with things.”

“Oh really?” Aiba asked. “I have only seen two ghosts in my life. One in the old feudal japan, and one some years ago in Hokkaido.” He shook his head. “Poor souls, but they threatened me.”

“Really?”

“Yes, they were always hunting the house my Masters lived in, and I really didn’t like that,” Aiba explained.

“How long have you been a genie?” Nino wanted to know. From his appearance Aiba couldn’t be older than 35, but he guessed that the other had been a genie for centuries.

“Hm, let me think…I think since 1500 and I don’t know which decade or year…” Aiba had this sad sparkle in his eyes again.

“You must be tired from this?” Nino asked.

“It’s okay, but slowly I wish for a calm life, but I guess that’s not possible.” He raised his hand. “And before you ask if it’s possible to wish for my release of this curse, no it isn’t. I can’t be rescued from this curse. At least not that I know.”

That was sad, because maybe Nino would have spent one five-point-wish for Aiba’s rescue. He didn’t want to change place with him in the end. A never-ending life? No, that sounded good, but he didn’t want to have that.

„It must be tiring to be a genie for such a long time?“ Nino asked. Aiba gave him a big smile in which Nino could have got lost.

“It is indeed, but I got used to it, and most of the time I am happy with it, just that slowly I want to find peace and even though some might think I am crazy, but I sometimes wish to have a normal life, which will end in death one day,” Aiba explained. He started laughing. “That sounds moody and dark, but believe me, I am not surrounded by dark clouds or something like this. I like my life.” Aiba clapped. “So, what are we going to do today?”

“It’s already getting evening. And…” Nino tilted his head. “I wanted to stay at home playing some games.”

Aiba looked out of the window. The sun was already disappearing behind the horizon and soon it would be totally dark outside. “Oh, it’s a pity.” He sighed. “But tell me, where are we?”

Nino laughed. “Tokyo.”

“Oh, it’s been a while since I was here.” Aiba was still looking out of the window. “Last time I was in Kyoto, and before that I spent almost two years in Okinawa.”

“Nice places,” Nino admitted. “But I like Tokyo.”

Aiba nodded. “Just, it’s huge and so many people around here, but all in all it’s a cool city.”

Nino stared at the other. Something in him spread. He wasn’t alone anymore, and even though it was a genie, and he didn’t know Aiba, he felt good. He shook his head. That was ridiculous. He should throw him out and go on like nothing had happened, but when he saw Aiba’s smile, he couldn’t. Was he a believer in love at first sight? No, definitely not. Did he enjoy company? Yes, definitely. So he would keep Aiba till he used up the five-points wishes and then he’d think about what to do. And if he were annoyed of Aiba, he could still lock him in his bottle.

“How about going to the cinema tomorrow?” Nino suggested. “Cinema is a place where …” he started, but stopped when he heard Aiba laughing out loud.

“I know what a cinema is, Nino-chan. I am old, but I had various masters during the last years. I even know that we are in 2017.”

“Oh.” Nino blushed.

“But cinema sounds nice,” Aiba said. “I am looking forward to meet all of your friends.”

“Actually,” Nino sighed. “I only have two real friends. But I am sure you’ll like them.”

 “Then I am looking forward to meeting them.” Was Aiba pitying him? He didn’t say anything, but it seemed like he felt sorry for Nino for just having two friends. “Can I join you playing games?”

“Really?” Nino asked. He sounded more astonished that he wanted to, but no one ever wanted to watch him playing games. “You can help me reading the walkthrough. I have serious problems with some dungeons.”

“I would love to,” Aiba said.

~~~
Nino concentrated on the dungeon he was running through. He cursed when he – again – ran into this big dragon, which was impossible to fight. “Damn,” he cursed.
He turned his head and just now he realized that Aiba’s head leaned on his shoulder and he was sleeping with the walkthrough book in his hands. Nino scanned Aiba’s face, which looked relaxed and a small smile curled around his lips, which looked kissable. Nino shook his head. Was his last relationship really that long ago that he already craved loving someone and being loved by someone that much? “What are you thinking about?” Aiba asked sleepily. He didn’t move his head from Nino’s shoulder, but just looked up at him.
“Nothing special,” Nino lied.
“I think it’s time to go to bed,” Aiba said with a yawn. He stood up and bowed. “Do you wish for something or can I go to bed, Nino-san?”
Nino shook his head. “Have a good night, Aiba-san.” With that he saw Aiba disappearing in his bottle.
~~~

When Nino stood up in the morning he had the feeling that he hadn’t slept a single minute. He wasn’t sure if he had dreamed all this stuff last night, or if Aiba really existed. But when he came to the kitchen Aiba was there, singing a strange song, and preparing something that looked more delicious than what Nino had ever seen. Right there and then, he knew that this wasn’t a dream at all. “Oh, good morning,” Aiba said with a smile. “I thought you might be hungry, so I prepared some food.”

“That’s really nice, thank you,” Nino said. He looked at the clock on the wall. It was still pretty early, and he had the whole day off. Since Jun was busy this day, Nino thought of what they could do. “Hey, Aiba-chan, what do you think of a short trip?” Was it him saying this? Nino was the type of guy who liked staying at home, playing games or watching TV, but somehow he had the feeling that Aiba wanted to see a lot of things, and he wanted to help Aiba with this.

“Oh, that would be cool,” Aiba chirped. “I would love to see some parts of Tokyo.”

Nino took one pancake from the plate Aiba had placed next to the oven and bit into it. “Hey, I am not done preparing the breakfast.”

“Sorry.” Nino grinned sheepishly. He blinked at Aiba’s pout. Nino had seen a lot of good-looking guys, and he had fallen in love various times, but in Aiba’s eyes he could have get lost – and that after knowing him for only one day. “How about visiting the meji shrine?”

Aiba shook his head. “No.” The warmth in his eyes suddenly changed into a dark aura.

“Sorry, did I say something wrong?” Nino asked.

Aiba’s smile reappeared around his lips. “No, I have seen the shrine so often already. How about visiting the Tokyo tower?”

Nino nodded. Even though Aiba denied it, Nino could feel that this wasn’t the real reason he didn’t want to see the meji shrine. “Sure, that’s okay.”

“Good.” Aiba seemed relieved. “But now it’s time to eat some breakfast and drink some hot coffee.” They sat down at the table and Nino took another piece from the pancakes together with some honey and marmalade and a big cup of coffee. He really could get used to this life.

“So, do you have any wishes for today, Nino?” Aiba wanted to know.

“No, do I need to wish for something?” Nino asked.

Aiba shook his head. “No, of course not. It’s just that most of my previous masters wanted anything anytime anywhere.”

Nino looked outside. He could see some dark clouds forming in the sky. He was sure that bad weather would approach them soon. “I wish that it stays sunny today,” he finally said.

Aiba looked at him, gulping. Nino could already guess what it meant, but he was also sure that he couldn’t change his wish anymore. Aiba nodded and soon the clouds disappeared from the sky and the sun was the only thing over there. “It’s a five-point wish, Nino. So you have four points to go,” Aiba sounded sad.

Nino nodded. Okay, he really needed to be careful what he wished for. “How long did you stay with your last master?” He wanted to know.

“Three weeks,” Aiba said. “But that’s normal. I don’t stay with people long, because everyone soon uses up their five wishes.”

Nino’s heart started beating faster. He needed to be really careful if he wanted to have Aiba longer in his life. Slowly Nino wondered if love at first sight was probably indeed possible? He shook his head. “I hope I can hold back more five point wishes.”

“That would be nice, because I think you really are a nice guy, Nino,” Aiba said and a small red colour occurred on his cheeks.

“How about leaving this mess here and heading for a nice day in Tokyo. We can do the homework when we get back, or tomorrow?” Nino suggested.

Aiba stood up and raised his hands to the sides. “Look,” he laughed and suddenly all the dishes disappeared and the leftovers were packed into a bento box. “Now we can go.” Aiba pulled Nino along, who still stood there, staring at the table with his mouth wide open.

~~~
Aiba ran up and down the Tokyo tower, observing all the high buildings in the area. He smiled like he was really happy about being up there. “See, over there?” Aiba whispered. He looked around and when he seemed sure that no one listened to them he continued. “That's where I lost my virginity.”
Nino felt a hot wave rushing through his body. He looked around. “Aiba-san,” he huffed. He felt Aiba’s finger poking his cheek with a laugh.
“Are you embarrassed, Nino?” Aiba was visibly making fun of him, but Nino wouldn’t let this happen to him. He wasn’t prude in any way. He was just astonished that Aiba was so open about this topic.
“See this park over there?” Nino pointed at some trees not far away. Aiba nodded at him. Nino bent closer till his lips almost touched Aiba’s ear. “That's where I had my first threesome.”
Now it was Aiba’s face turning red – deeply red. Nino laughed out loud. His heart jumped. He felt like he had been knowing Aiba for years already, and he was sure that it looked like they were pretty close to each other. “How about some ice cream, Aiba? Just to cool you down.” Nino grinned.
“That sounds good,” Aiba said.
Nino looked around. There were hardly any people around at that time. “Aiba, I wish we would be at home on my balcony with two big bowls of ice cream.”
Aiba nodded at him and in the next moment they were at home, like Nino had wished. The ice cream bowls were huge – really huge, and Nino doubted that he would be able to eat his whole bowl. “Wow,” Nino said. He looked at Aiba. “Oh, this wasn’t a point wish, right?” He asked, a little afraid of Aiba’s answer.
“No,” Aiba laughed. “This was a normal wish.” He licked his lips. “A very good wish by the way.”
They started eating and Nino felt just good. He didn’t even think about his TV or about gaming or about his mobile… he jumped up. “Oh, I forgot to mail Jun, my friend.” He took the mobile out of his bag and like he had feared it, there were about twelve messages and three missed calls from Jun.
He dialled the other one's number and waited some moments till Jun answered. “Oh, the lost boy, did you sleep in front of your TV?” Jun teased him.
“No,” Nino answered, biting his lips nervously. He looked at Aiba, who was still busy with eating the massive ice cream bowl. “Actually…” Nino said. He sighed. What should he say? That he had a genie at home? Jun wouldn’t believe him, or even if he would, he would be really worried about Nino letting in a stranger. “I did and somehow still have a date?” Nino half-asked. He could see Aiba looking up at him, one eyebrow pulled up, a strange smile curling his lips.
“A date?” Jun sounded curious. “Who is he?” Jun wanted to know.
“Ah, Jun, can we talk later or so? I am in the middle of eating a big bowl of ice cream,” Nino said.
“With your date?” Jun seriously loved teasing him. Nino rolled his eyes.
“Yes.”
Jun chuckled. “I am happy for you, Kazu. Maybe we can meet up tomorrow?” He made a pause. “I mean Satoshi, me, you and your mysterious date?”
Nino gulped. Would it really be a good idea to bring Aiba along? What if he’d disappear soon, because Nino would expire his five point wishes? He felt his heart beat increasing. “Okay, I will bring him along.”
“Sounds good. Let's meet in our favourite bar for some drinks?” Jun asked him. Everything was okay for Nino, as long as Jun wouldn’t ask any more questions now.
“Yes, 8 o’clock. We’ll be there, see you.” Nino hung up before Jun could ask more things for now. He was sure though that he would have to give Jun every detail later on.
“So, I am your date?” Aiba chuckled. Nino was sure that his cheeks turned tomato-like in this moment.
“What else should I have said? I can hardly tell him that I have a genie at home,” Nino grumbled.
Aiba gave him a bright grin. “It’s okay. Somehow I belong to you, so you can say that I am your property, so I am your date?” He rubbed his chin. Aiba’s thoughts were indeed strange, really strange, but he didn’t seem to care that he was often seen as someone’s property, but Nino didn’t want to see him like that.
“You are no one’s property,” Nino said angrily.
“Well, you bought the bottle, and I am here to fulfil your wishes, so somehow I am your property,” Aiba explained.
“Okay, then let’s say I don’t want to see you like this.” Nino shrugged. He looked at Aiba, who was still smiling.
Aiba tilted his head a little. “So, you see me as your date? Or maybe your boyfriend?” He giggled happily.
“Yes, rather than seeing you as an item.” Nino crossed his arms, and realized after some moments what he had said, but he didn’t say anything further, because he was stubborn, and he didn’t want any further discussions. And in the end seeing Aiba as his boyfriend wasn’t that bad at all, right?
“Well, thank you, Nino,” Aiba said with a bow. His cheeks were rosy, and Nino had the feeling that Aiba didn’t care about this whole situation.
“Do you want to go to the cinema today, Nino?” Aiba asked after a short silence. “We talked about going to the movies tonight?”
Nino nodded slowly. He was still in his thoughts. “Sure.” He smiled. Again, his heart made a little jump, especially because this could really be seen as date, right? At least he had said to his friend that he was dating Aiba, so it was a date, wasn’t it?
“There is this romantic comedy story I want to see. Is this okay for you?” Aiba asked.
Nino blinked. “How do you know about the cinema program?”
Aiba shifted. “You know.” He scratched his head. “I was so chipper about going to the movies that I immediately studied the program.”
Nino laughed out loud. “Okay, let’s go to this movie you want to see.” He was actually totally not interested in a romantic movie, but he couldn’t care less. He would go there to make Aiba happy. Damn, was this really the first step to fall for the other?
~~~

There weren’t many people in the cinema, because the movie Aiba had chosen wasn’t a new one, but Nino couldn’t care less. They walked to their seats with their popcorn and Nino could see Aiba getting chipper about being here. His eyes sparkled and he happily sipped on his coke. Around them was no one, just two young girls took place some rows in front of them. Nino felt hot waves rushing through his body. The last times he had been in the cinema, he had only wanted to get into someone else’s pants, but now? Yeah, he wanted that too, but it felt different. He wouldn’t get cheesy, no, he wouldn’t… okay, maybe a little bit… he didn’t care about sleep with Aiba, he just wanted – Nino sighed – he wanted to kiss him, and hold his hand. He just wasn’t sure if he was allowed to do so.

“Is everything okay?” Aiba asked, pulling Nino out of his thoughts.

“Yes, why?” Nino shook his head.

“You are staring at me.” Aiba poked Nino’s cheek.

To hell with thinking about how strange this whole situation was, and that he actually didn’t know Aiba, and that he was a genie, and that he shouldn’t… and… and… and…

Nino pushed every thought away and brushed Aiba’s cheek before he bent forward and kissed him. He waited a moment if Aiba would draw back, but when he just felt Aiba’s lips brushing his, he knew that it was okay to go on. He leaned into the feeling of Aiba’s hand around his neck and soon Nino slipped from his seat onto Aiba’s lap to get better access to Aiba’s lips and neck. “Lucky us that hardly anyone is in this movie, right?” Nino whispered into Aiba’s ear.

“Yes, that’s true,” Aiba’s voice sounded hoarse. Nino drew a little back to look into Aiba’s eyes. “I didn’t believe that something like this might happen to me.” He placed a peck on Nino’s lips. “I thought that falling in love would be impossible for genies. But when I saw you yesterday, I immediately knew that all the myths about love at first sight were as true as genies and ghosts.”

“I wish I could feel you much more right now.” Nino breathed out when he felt Aiba’s hands on his thigh.

Aiba stared at him. Nino froze when he realized that he had made a wish. It didn’t take two seconds till they were at home in Nino’s bed, Aiba above him, both already naked. “It was a five point wish, Nino,” Aiba said, a little sad.

“Okay, so I only have three five point wishes left.” Nino didn’t want to think about that now, but a small part in him felt nervous about that fact.

Nino could feel Aiba’s hot body moving above him, trying to make every distance between them disappear. He could feel Aiba’s lips on his neck, kissing here and there, nibbling on Nino’s neck playfully. Nino had had some relationships before, but he had never felt what he was feeling now. Nino’s body felt like on fire, and when Aiba started preparing him, and his other hand was brushing over Nino’s body, he felt like exploding.

Everything almost started being too much for Nino. Aiba's thrusts started tentatively, but he got more eager with every second passing. Soon they found their rhythm together and Nino could feel his orgasm approaching. He pulled on Aiba’s neck to get him closer to his body, and he wrapped his legs tightly around Aiba’s waist. He wanted to feel every inch of Aiba’s body on his.

“Nino,” Aiba moaned out. “I am close.”

Nino nodded at him. He bit into Aiba’s neck playfully before he searched for Aiba’s lips to kiss him. “Me too.” He finally breathed out. Aiba wanted to lean up to touch Nino, but Nino wouldn’t let him dissolve from the tight feeling on his body. “No, please,” Nino said.

Aiba smiled at him and brushed Nino’s sides with his hands. He started moving frantically against Aiba before the other came with a load moan. Nino didn’t need much more time to find his own release. He could feel all the power escaping his body, but he didn’t feel tired – rather the opposite, he felt awake and excited. He still had his hands tightly around Aiba’s neck.

“How about a shower?” Aiba chuckled after a few minutes of just lying in a tight embrace.

“Tired,” Nino grumbled. “I wish we were ready for bed and in our pyjamas.” Nino looked at Aiba who granted his wish. “It wasn’t a five point wish, right?” He was a little afraid, but Aiba just shook his head with a smile. “Perfect,” Nino said and rubbed closer till he could snuggle closely to Aiba.

Aiba’s hands were again around Nino’s body, embracing him. It felt so good to be loved by someone again, and Nino could already imagine having this all day long. And even though it was their first night together, he already knew he didn’t want to miss that again. Nino felt Aiba’s hands brushing his chest and arm, and it felt like a silent mantra and soon Nino closed his eyes and fell asleep.

~~~
Nino was nervous when they met Satoshi and Jun. He wouldn’t leave Aiba if his friends didn't like Aiba, but he thought the world of Jun’s opinion, so Nino hoped that Jun would like him.
“Hey, I am Jun, and that’s Satoshi,” Jun said when they stepped to the table in the small bar.
“Aiba Masaki.” Aiba bowed. “I am Nino’s… friend,” he smiled happily and Nino could have got lost in the shining eyes Aiba had. Already now he knew that this would become something special between them.
“Nice to meet you, Masaki,” Satoshi said.
Nino could see that Jun had at least hundreds of questions burning on his soul, but he seemed to hold back, at least till the drinks were served. “So, how did you get to know each other?”
Nino tilted his head. “I met him weeks ago at a market.” Nino didn’t want to tell Jun that he had known Aiba for only one day, because he somehow feared that his friends would laugh about him, or scold him to go out with a guy he hardly knew. Aiba next to him stared at him, but finally nodded.
“Oh, did you see the strange and boring bottle Nino bought?” Jun laughed and Nino immediately felt a hot wave rushing through his body. Aiba nodded. “Can you tell him to buy at least worthy things and no trash next time?”
Aiba pulled one eyebrow up and Nino already feared that Aiba would defend his home, but he just leaned back and crossed his arms. “I like the bottle. It fits perfectly on the sill.”
Jun stared from Aiba to Nino and back before he and Satoshi started laughing out loud. Nino could feel his cheeks blushing. “You really fit perfectly.”
Aiba next to him loosened up and Nino could almost feel him being embarrassed. “Thank you,” Aiba said.
Nino took Aiba’s hand under the table and squeezed it, signalizing him that he was doing great here. “I am happy that I have found Nino,” Aiba said. “He's really someone I can trust.”
Jun had a bright smile on his lips and Satoshi leaned a little bit against Jun, poking him with his arm. “I think Nino found a nice partner, right?” Satoshi said.
“Definitely,” Jun agreed. “Welcome in our small group,” he added.
Nino could see Aiba’s smile turning into a grin, which covered almost his whole face. Even his eyes seemed to smile. He had seen Aiba happy, but to see him like this made his heart beating faster against his chest. It seemed Aiba gave a lot about Jun’s opinion. “I am happy that I am welcomed in your group.” He bowed.
Nino and Aiba decided to walk home after spending some hours with Jun and Satoshi. “They really are a nice couple,” Aiba said after they had walked next to each other without saying much.
“They are,” Nino agreed. He took Aiba’s hand and stopped walking. “But we are too.” He stepped closer and placed a kiss on Aiba’s lips. “And they really like you.”
Aiba put his hands around Nino’s waist, pulling him into an embrace. “I am so happy that they like me, because I am sure if it would have been different, you would have left me.” Nino wanted to deny that, but he couldn’t, because Aiba was right. He loved his friends, and he wouldn’t go out with someone his friend wouldn’t appreciate.
“I wasn’t afraid that they don’t like you. You are an amazing person, Masaki,” Nino said. He intertwined their fingers and they started walking home. Nino felt all bubbly and happy, and he knew that there was only one thing burdening him, and he needed to find a way to change that. He needed to make Aiba human again.
Days later Nino woke up early in the morning. Again he had the feeling that he had dreamed all this, but when he felt someone moving next to him, and he saw and felt Aiba’s hand around his waist, he knew that it was true. And he couldn’t deny that his heart had made its decision. He would never ever let the other go again. He had been really careful about his wishes during the last days, because he wanted to avoid every mistake to use a five point wish.
“Good morning,” he heard Aiba saying. “It’s been a while since I didn’t wake up in my bottle each and every day,” he added with a laugh. It wasn’t the first time during the last days Aiba had slept in Nino’s bed, but it was the first time he mentioned it.
“And it’s been a while since I didn’t wake up alone.” Nino turned in the bed, facing Aiba. He robbed closer till he could rest his head on Aiba’s chest. It felt so warm and just nice to have someone next to him. Aiba’s hand curled some of Nino’s hair between his fingers.
“I wish I would be able to stay at your side forever, but that will stay a dream.” Aiba sounded sad.
“But why? When I never wish for something again, I will be able to make you stay,” Nino said stubbornly.
“I really want to believe that, Nino, but everyone made a wish sooner or later, and everyone made a five point wish at one point.” Aiba breathed out.
“What if I find a way to make you human again?” Nino wanted to know.
“You can’t wish for that,” Aiba sounded desperate. He really wanted to become human again, Nino could see this, but he could also see that Aiba might have tried a lot of things to make his situation change.
“Why or how did you become a genie?” Nino asked.
Aiba sat up till he could lean against the backrest, pulling Nino with him. “I was a young man who fell in love for the first time with the wrong person. I would have done everything for this person, even agreeing to a curse to rescue him. But he immediately left me, explaining that he was just using my good-heartedness.”
Nino’s heart jumped. He had an idea, but he didn’t know if this idea would help them. “So, I can’t rescue you with a wish, but I can wish for someone taking your place?”
Aiba looked at him in disbelieve. “I don’t know. I never tried it, but how will you find someone who’d take my place?”
Nino grinned. “I have an idea.” He sat up totally chipper about his brilliant idea. “You don’t like the meji shrine, why?”
Aiba gulped visibly. “I …” he sighed.
“You first love, he is a ghost right?”
“How?” Aiba asked, his mouth wide-open.
“I told you that Satoshi was a ghost, and I know that this place is one of THE places for ghosts, so I already guessed that you know someone there.” Nino got chipper because he was right.
“But a ghost can’t take my place, Nino.” Aiba’s short lightened mood got darker again.
Nino rubbed his chin. No, he wouldn’t give up now. He was so close to a solution. “And what if I would wish for someone to become human again?”
Aiba thought about that. “Hm, never tried this either.” He rubbed his face before he looked down. “Nino, that sounds really like a dream coming true, but we can’t be sure that this works, and you have only three wishes left, what if it doesn’t work out and I won’t see you ever again?”
Nino wrapped his hands around Aiba’s neck to pull him closer. “I will find a way, no matter what will be needed to do so. I won’t let you go again.” He smiled. “In the end I just found you.”
Aiba’s eyes started to sparkle “Okay, I trust you.” He placed his lips on Nino’s and started kissing him softly. It felt a little bit like Aiba wanted to memorize their moments, because he feared that everything could end soon.
“Hey, I'll find a way,” Nino said again when they parted.
~~~

Nino had his hand tightly wrapped around Aiba’s when they entered the meji shrine. He wasn’t sure who was more nervous. Aiba’s hand was shaking a little and his palm was wet. “Do you see him?” Nino asked.

Aiba first shook his head, but then he pointed at a strange person on the other side of the temple. He wore strange clothes and was definitely from another century. “Okay, let’s do this.” Nino breathed out deeply before he walked closer to the man. “Hey, are you Yuri?” The man turned and looked at him curiously.

“Who are you?” He asked, but when he saw Aiba an almost silent “oh” escaped his lips. “What do you want from me?”

Nino smirked. He hoped that this would work out and their plan would succeed, because he really didn’t like this guy, even though he didn’t know him at all. But he had hurt Aiba, and no one would be Nino’s friend who’d try to hurt his love. “Aiba-chan, I wish that this man turns into a human.” He pointed at Yuri.

The ghost stepped backwards, but he couldn’t get away anymore. Soon Nino could see that his ghost aura disappeared and he seemed human again. The guy laughed. “Well thank you, and now?”

Nino grinned. Okay, the first step was a success. Now, the more important one. He turned to Aiba. He didn’t need to ask that this was a five point wish. “I want you to give your genie power to this guy, and with that I want you to be human.”

He looked at the guy again, who laughed out loud. “Oh that won’t happen, because I am sure that it’s not possible to switch the power.” He coughed and soon he lay on the floor before he just disappeared. Nino stood there, looking at the empty floor. He didn’t dare to turn, but he was sure that he could hear a breath behind him, so Aiba must have been there.

“Nino?” Aiba asked, his voice was shaking. Nino turned and he could see Aiba fading.

“No, what happened, Aiba?” Nino screamed. He tried to get a hold of Aiba’s arm, but he was already gone.

It was worse than just a wish gone wrong. He had made Aiba disappear. Nino ran around the area, but he couldn’t find him anywhere. He jumped into the next taxi when he got out of the park and headed home. He opened the door and didn’t even care to slip out of his shoes. The bottle on the sill was gone and there was no sign of Aiba anywhere in the apartment.

Nino sat on the couch and just now he realized that he was crying. They had failed. Aiba was gone. Nino didn’t know how much time passed, but when he heard a knock on the door he got pulled out of his thoughts. “I am not at home, Jun,” Nino whispered to himself. He opened the door and wanted to send away whoever it was, when he saw a smiling Aiba standing there.

Nino didn’t even say a word and just pulled Aiba into his arms. “You… I… we… what?” Nino stuttered. He looked at Aiba, who started placing small butterfly kisses all over Nino’s face.

“We switched the power, Nino. It worked. I am human, and Yuri is in the bottle somewhere on this planet.” Aiba had tears in his eyes. “I am free.”

Nino laughed out. “No, you aren’t free.” He grinned. “You are mine.”

All the worry and sadness Nino had felt in the last hours turned into an urgent need to hold Aiba and to show him all the love he wanted to show him before he was gone. “Come in.” Nino pulled Aiba along and didn’t even let him say something else before capturing his lips.

“I guess we won’t meet with Jun and Satoshi tonight?” Aiba giggled happily when Nino’s hands roamed over Aiba’s body.

“No, tonight I want us both to be alone. I want only the two of us tonight.” Nino guided Aiba to the bedroom and closed the door.

“I forgot that you had one last point wish, and I am sorry you couldn’t use it,” Aiba said.

“Oh, I know something I wish for,” Nino grinned evilly. “But I guess that’s a wish counting for two wishes.” He smirked and pushed Aiba gently on the bed.

“I will happily fulfil this wish.” Aiba nodded and pulled on Nino’s shirt to get him down on top of him.
