First of all: Sorry for the long time this took me >< I was really busy with university work. Back to the story now, though:
I like that the little flashback and the reality ended and began with the same words. And I am so happy you went with so many prompts that I like. Ohno as a coffee shop owner (which is also the library café so great!) is such a cute image and I think he would make delicious pastries XD When Aiba appeared and Nino is instantly infatuated with him is so cute and so understandable. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s also nice that they have magic abilities that you put in the story so effortlessly. It’s great how natural it all seems and that they all seem to have some specialities while using magic
The problems Aiba has are put in the story overall so nicely. Like, they are there constantly and not forgotten but not in a way that seems like it’s only there to jump at the reader (sorry if I’m not good at explaining what exactly I mean)
I really love Nino’s POV here because he is so love struck that it’s really cute. Also, he is observant mostly so it’s easy to believe that he would get all the small details in general but also especially if it’s about a person he likes. Ohno is so cheeky! But also, such a great friend trying to make Nino tell Aiba he likes him throughout this story. And Nino is so stubborn at the beginning. I wanted to shake him when he didn’t want to apply as an assistant. Luckily, he did in the end with a lot of persuasion of Ohno who is such a great friend to Nino and so supportive throughout. Even if he is friends with Aiba as well it looked like he really cared for Nino and his happiness. It made me curious throughout this whole story why Nino hates potions so much. What kind of accident happened and couldn’t wait for the explanation (and yeah, I was probably really slow because first I didn’t get that the accident of Aiba and the accident of Nino had been the same one. I felt a bit ridiculous because of it but it was also nice to be clueless). It was a nice tease. I like that he could help Aiba even though he couldn’t be near cauldrons and that Aiba was so accommodable to him.
(also, I am a bit weak to Aiba’s failed winks so thank you for putting this in, also all the friendly banters between Aiba and Nino as well as Ohno and Nino)
And OMG. You actually used my wish for de-ageing people. I was so happy with that. Those three were such brats as kids and so loveable XD poor Nino and Aiba were really in for a ride when Aiba accidentally turned them into kids. Especially since Jun and Ohno seemed to have so much fun getting them all into trouble The pillow fight was so funny ^^ It’s nice to see that all of them try to get Nino and Aiba to confess to each other and are rooting for them in a way And then when I thought they would finally confess Nino got all scared and ran away because he realised he was at fault (yeah, I realised shortly before as well) The children are so vengeful but still strangely supportive. Stupid Nino for not talking to Aiba for a while because he is too worried. But I like that he still studies about all the ingredients and comes back to help in the end I just must repeat it: The three of them are adorable the way they help and force the other two to be honest about their feeling. But I would also be so tired if I had to babysit them ^^’
And I must agree to this sentence of Aiba: “I like you all as adults but you three are also cute as kids.” So true!
I love how the confession went. It is so cute and adorable and fits them perfectly. Nino being scared and worried about Aiba hating him but having to be honest finally and Aiba being so warm and happy about it and then their small banter and the kisses and mentions of useful or not useful hands XD The twist with the potion was great as well. Aiba really found what he was looking for finally ^^ even if he didn’t need that potion for that in the end
I really really loved this story. Thank you so much for writing and sharing it. I will probably reread it again and again :)
((And just a tiny mistake probably: You mentioned first that Nino was already with the kids for a week and gets their personalities now. But later you wrote that the potion should wear off after a week and it didn’t. The first time I stumbled over it, it’s nothing big or bad but yeah (I hope I don’t make you uncomfortable or something because of this ><) I just thought it’s easy to change when/if you want to repost it))
