I absolutely ADORE the movie Penelope and have for years, so I'm really glad someone did a story based on it! I felt so bad for Aiba being sort of stuck in his own bubble because of the curse. I'm glad that like in the movie, he found a way to accept himself! He'd actually make a really cute monkey with those precious Aiba ears ♥
You were totally right that insecurities can be devastating to a relationship. Even if someone had loved Aiba truly and deeply (as Sho seemed to!), without being able to see the good in himself, Aiba might have never been able to really trust in it. His own personal journey was necessary to his happiness.
I also appreciate that Jun was willing to marry him simply because he does care about Aiba and wants him to have a good future, even if he knew his love was more brotherly and he couldn't truly break the curse for him. What a great friend!
I'm glad Sho and Aiba were able to mend things at the end :) Very nice!!
