Hi, Aiba’s Little Helpers!
It’s us, your awesome mods and… your very best friends.
And we’re back with Aiba Exchange!!! For our Fifth. Freaking. Year. Can you believe it!!!
It’s that time of year again, the time to celebrate AIBA! We asked and you answered. This year we are sticking to the prompts of the year before. Let’s get into the thick of it and remind you all of the rules that go with this exchange. For those of you who are joining us for the first time, welcome!
The timeline has changed as well, so we’ll update you on that too!
The Rules go like this.
1. As of the publishing of this post, prompt submissions will be open to anyone who wants to submit, even if you don’t plan to write, so we can give our participants the most delicious of options to choose from. The post will close on Monday, September 16th. Comments will be screened and are open to both anonymous and non-anonymous submissions. Hit us with your best shot, helpers.
2. On September 16th, the claims post will then go up where participants can rush in and try claim their favorite prompt. It is a first come first served basis and we will update daily as prompts are claimed. Remember: by claiming a prompt, you are signing up for this fest!
3. You can submit one prompt, two prompts, three prompts, four! Really, as many as you want (in separate comments), but that does not guarantee that any of them will be written.
4. In the same vein, you can claim one, two, three prompts (ha ha ha). The only catch to this is that your next prompt can only be claimed after the previously claimed prompt has been submitted.
4a. A prompt can be changed? Yeah. it can be changed, with a note/email/comment of release to the mods. That’s us, in case you forgot.
5. When submitting a prompt, we’re going to go the simple route. Please include the following:
First Aiba-centric pairing option
Second Aiba-centric pairing option (to give our writers more options)
Prompt: -- you can make it as !!detailed!! or as ~~vague~~ as you’d like.
5a. Please keep in mind that once your prompt is submitted, it’s up to the writer’s imagination/interpretation once claimed. This means that the author has creative license! They can follow everything in your prompt or ignore what they want. Honestly, the best prompt is the simplest prompt.
6. Basic rules:
All fic/prompts should be Aiba-centric in nature! We welcome drama, movie, canon, AU, or some strange mix of all of these things... Or none of those things.
Fics should be a minimum of 1500 words.Fics should be written in English.Fics should be beta read before being submitted. If you can’t find one, your (self-proclaimed) awesome mods will hook you up.Fics should be submitted with all appropriate html tags included.Writers/readers/participants are to be courteous at ALL times.Writers/participants will remain anonymous until reveals are posted. All underage fic is banned. We cannot and will not support this. For clarification, 17 and under is considered underage.Everyone should have fun! (excessive use of exclamation marks is totally optional, but highly encouraged.)
