It’s the most wonderful time of the year. ‘Tis the season to be happy, you guys, and who better to bring that joy to us than Santa Aiba.
Calling all of Aiba’s little helpers! If writing/loving on Aiba Masaki is your thing, then please join us in celebrating Arashi’s Miracle Boy!
Basic rules:
1. All fic should be Aiba-centric in nature! We welcome drama, movie, canon, AU or some strange mix of all of these things.
2. Fics should be a minimum of 1500 words.
3. Fics should be written in English.
4. Fics should be beta read before being submitted. If you can’t find one, your (self-proclaimed) awesome mods will hook you up.
5. Fics should be submitted with all appropriate html tags included.
6. Writers/readers/participants should be courteous at ALL times.
7. Writers/participants should remain anonymous until reveals are posted. Any questions or concerns for your author/recipient should be emailed to us so that we can contact your author/recipient.
8. Everyone should have fun! (excessive use of exclamation marks is totally optional, but highly encouraged.)

Pairings/friendships I want, no, NEED (if you can only think of one pairing/friendship you want, please try to include at least one more for your mods' sakes): I love all Aiba pairings, really. However, if you really want to press it, I guess right at this moment I NEED Sakuraiba > Aimiya > Ohba > Junba. I also love Aiba/Nino/Sho, Sho/Aiba/Jun, Ohno/Aiba/Sho OT3s (and yep, order does have meaning *wink wink*). OT5 and fic with Aiba as center are loved and greatly appreciated. Please have fun with whatever you feel most comfortable with.
Genres, situations, kinks, plots I would like to receive:
I would be very happy with fantasy, sci-fi/Space, historical (samurai!), or supernatural AUs. Magical worlds of any kinds, either full-scale or just a little bit of magic in everyday life, are also equally loved. Canon is perfectly OK. If those stuffs don’t work for you, romance, fluff, domesticity are also fine. I wouldn’t say no to smutty story (or slutty Aiba, if you want to push it, lol) Steamy sexy piece would be greatly appreciated too.
My preference is to read a mature, adult-like Aiba – instead of a loud, whinny, annoying, immature, and stupid one. And if possible, please keep him a nice guy (or he can be an evil but nice guy too…lol). And if it’s possible, I would like an angsty story (it can end well or not well, totally up to you.)
Please feel free to work on any plot that inspires you. I always love reading Aiba-centric fics and is already happy that you will write one for this exchange. So, if you have some Aiba’s story you really want to write, please go ahead with it.

AUs I like: historical, fantasy, space, sci-fi, magic, folklore, action, adventure, bodyguard, yakuza/mafia, traveling circus, butler, guardian, time-travel, gods
Canon situations I generally like: - concert and concert preparation - Arashi doing road trip or some adventures - Arashi doing Christmas at a member house - Jun being bossy. Sho being kind. Nino comes in to rescue the day when Aiba does something inappropriate. Touchy Ohmiya. - Takoyaki trio (Digitalian & AYH), Sho with food
If you want something to play around or to start with, here is the list of things that may help getting you start:
- Aiba is a dream-walker. He can enter other people dreams and interact with them. However, for most people he enters their dreams, he never meets them in RL. That is, until he meets [enter your choice of Aiba’s pairing here]
- Aiba is a ghost stuck in a place and time because of some past event that happened. Member, who is the cause of the event in past life, stumbles upon the place and wants to help free him. However, Aiba is resentful and wants revenge. Or it can go the opposite way, Member is the ghost and Aiba is the one who wants to help undo his past.
- Aiba is an underappreciated side-kick of a supervillain (pick any member(s) you prefer). He falls in love with X (another member), who is just a regular human, and wants to change his way. Of course, the supervillain is not happy about it. I actually think of this as Aiba/supervillain paring in the end, but feels free to surprise me 😉
- Aiba and his partner are assigned to look after a diplomat. No one expects this task to be anything but routine. Of course, it’s more than what they hope for.
- A story where everyone (all members) get a piece of Aiba will be LOVED. Seriously.
I have a soft spot for Arashi member(s), especially Sho and Nino (in his own strange way), being overly protective of Aiba (regardless of whether Aiba actually needs it). So, if you don’t want to write Sakuraiba or Aimiya, maybe you can add them as friendship pairing? I would really appreciate it.
Genres, situations, kinks, plots I would NOT LIKE to receive: Absolutely no gender-switch, mpreg, underage/chibi arashi, host/bartender, high school/college AUs, terminal illness or Aiba in hospital for some illness. No zombies. No A/B/O. I think I am fine with pretty much anything else (seriously, don’t be shy if there’s something you REALLY want to write). If you have concern about anything, please ask.
** please do not include anyone from Hey! Say! JUMP in the fic. Seriously, it would make me very very unhappy :(
Pairings, genres, plots I would like to write: I can write Aiba with any Arashi members and I love them all. However, my preference for this year is Ohno>Sho>Nino>Jun. If you want me to write something smutty, I prefer it not to be with Nino. If you want me to go smutty, please give me Sakuraiba or Junba. I prefer fantasy/sci-fi/supernatural/historical AUs. I enjoy writing Canon story. My strength is probably in drama and heavy angst, so if possible, I want to write angst. However, I can attempt some lighter stories (fluffs or light romance). Smut is OK (but no DBSM) Anything that I would like to receive, I am probably fine with writing it too.

I love AiMoto or AiMiya... there is no order in this, so go for the one you're most comfortable with. I am also fine with SakurAiba, if AiMoto or AiMiya doesn't inspire you. Regarding Ohno, I can only see him as Aiba's friend (or brother...), so please no romance between the two (also no PAST romance).
In case you need some side pairs, I love JunToshi! SakuMiya or MatsuMiya is okay as well. As for the others...I rather see them as friends and OhMiya as well as SakuMoto is a no go for me, so please don't include them as a couple (friends is always totally fine).
Regarding females... I really like Aiba/Becky or Aiba/Kanjiya Shihori in case you need a girl^^
I am also pretty particular about people appearing in my fic, so please DO NOT include Rola or Matsuko Deluxe (not even as a cat!) as well as Ayase Haruka or Masami Nagasawa. If you're worried about anyone, just ask through the mods. I will answer for sure!
Genres, situations, kinks, plots I would like to receive:
I am always looking for funny, fluffy or happy-go-lucky stories. That doesn't mean you cannot include some angst, but I really NEED my Happy End. Also, please don't break anyones heart throughout the story - especially not to get the main pairing together. If you want someone to break up then please make them agree to it in good terms.
I would really love to have the main pairing appear during most of the time. If you have a side pairing, that's fine but please make sure to let the Aiba-pair shine way more than the others^^
I love my stories with a touch of fantasy or even written in a whole new world. May it be Arashi as elves, dwarfes, magicians, vampires or whatever comes to your mind, I am more than in! Aiba/Arashi in space or as aliens are totally acceptable as well.
If you feel comfortable with it, I would kinda like to read a historical story for a change but this is not a must.
If fantasy isn't your thing, I love Arashi as teachers (not students AND teachers please, they are adults now...) or office AU. Host AU is welcome as well.
I can imagine Aiba very nicely as a bartender, doctor, detective (can you see the logic here?^^), but you can also turn him into a scientist, coffee shop owner, mafia boss or model! Just, don't give him a job with pets (veteranarian is okay though).
What I really like about Aiba is his big heart, his loyality, his smile, his breathy voice, his love for the rest of the Arashi members, his long legs, his serious side... so please don't let him appear as a clumsy someone who is not able to survive by himself. Also, I love his positive mindset, so don't turn him into some who is depressed or aggressive.
In case you want some very special ideas, I leave some for you, but don't feel forced to take upon this!
- something Christmas themed would be nice... maybe someone in Arashi doesn't like Christmas and Aiba sets on a mission to show him how wonderful it can be (Santa Aiba would be kinda cool too^^)
- Alien Aiba crashing into someones house
- Aiba deciding that living alone is not fun, so he moves in with his friend
- Aiba gets scouted as a model (or he is already one and gets asked to take couple shots with another male)
- a new butler for Kizoku Tantei?^^

Also kind of missing Ohba, if you want to try your hand at that. OT3’s 4’s and 5’s are fine too, as long as everyone is happy with it. I’m also totally fine with a female love interest and OC’s of any gender and importance.
Genres, situations, kinks, plots I would like to receive: I would really really really like to see some Mature Masaki. Not that he can’t be goofy and carefree, but I want him to be an adult, you know? (Also, if there is smut, can he top please?)

As long as you write something that you enjoy, I'm fine with almost every genre or plot you might come up with. I like slice of life, humour (no crack though) or psychological stories as well as science fiction, fantasy (no high fantasy though, I prefer magical realism), supernatural (in a spooky or super-powery way), horror etc. but please add some romance and make friendship an important topic if fitting.
In general, I like stories that are smart, dramatic but maybe with some cute scenes (so they can be fluffy or angsty or preferably both!). I appreciate good storytelling and of course, a happy ending! (I LOVE some drama in a story but I NEED a happy ending!)
I don't really have special preferences when it comes to kinks as I'm not that kinky, I think... but I do love kisses and holding hands and hugs and tiny cute gestures, stuff like that.
In general I like Aiba being happy and energetic and the nice guy he always is, who puts his friends first and I like to see Jun and Nino as some kind of mysterious or "tsundere" characters (so maybe they have a secret and they are a bit cheeky and/or grumpy but still care about their friends) but as genuinely kind people.
As mentioned, if you go for Junba, I'd love you forever and a day if you add Nino as Aiba's BFF/colleague and Sakumiya as side pairing :3. In case of Aimiya, Juntoshi side pairing would be very much appreciated. (Of course, only if you have time and space for a side pairing, don't feel obliged, if it's not doable, please.)
If you add some sexy time, which I'd definitely appreciate if it fits the plot, then for Junba I don't mind who's top or bottom but for Aimiya please make sure Aiba is top and Nino bottom (is bottom!Nino considered as a kink? XD)

Junba (Work AU/Romance):
I'd love a story about Aiba being a kindergarten or elementary school teacher who meets Jun (who's not good with kids for some reason) due to Jun's job (whatever it is, he has to collaborate with Aiba's working place for some reason, make him a photographer or a psychology student or whatever, be creative ^^). Even if there are starting problems between them due to their very different view on kids, the two gradually fall in love (and Jun learns to love kids too).
Aimiya (AU or Arashi universe is fine here):
Classic "from friends to lovers" stories will definitely work. I like them being childhood friends and developing a deeper affection for each other over time, so that the boundaries between friendship and love slowly but surely start to blur and it's up to one of them (Aiba preferably) to do the next step. If you want to spice it up a bit, I'd appreciate such a story in an uncommon setting (up to interpretation, maybe they are in outer space. Or let them work in some unconventional job, add magic or... whatever).
Or, since I also like nature setting, send them outdoors! For example: Aiba takes Nino somewhere for vacation (country side/woods/near the sea... maybe with no wi-fi? Hiking? Camping?) because he thinks Nino (who is depressed over something or overworked or simply gaming too much in his friend's opinion) needs a change of place. However, everything goes wrong (they get lost, their car breaks, power outage, batteries dies, they forgot important things etc.) and they fight but in the end they have to work together and just get even closer to each other (You can make Aiba cute and a bit clumsy here, but not stupid please! Extra points if you add the other Arashi members too to complete the chaos :D)
In any case, please keep it romantic in first place, even if I won't say no to a little smutty part as the cherry on top ;). However, please at least make them kiss ^.^

Sakuraiba
(i) After the Sakuraiba date in Chiba (Himitsu no Arashi-chan), Aiba accidentally confessed that he does has feeling for Sho. While Sho was preparing himself to accept his feeling, Aiba quickly denied it by saying he just wanted to see Sho’s reaction. Eversince that day, Aiba put some distance between them. Taking this as an idea that Aiba was just joking, Sho decided to forget about his feeling for the man. Until something happens and Sho know he has to tell Aiba the truth. (this can be one-sided ending or not)
(ii) Aiba was supposedly arranged to marry Sho’s sister. But on the day of their engagement, Aiba ran away. On his escape, he met Sho. not knowing Sho’s identity, they spent their ‘holiday’ together as friends-bestfriend-almost lover until Sho told his identity to Aiba. Felt betrayed, Aiba decided to marry Sho’s sister (depends on the writer, this can be Aiba marrying Sho’s sister or the family decided to change the arrangement)
Junba
(i) “Why are you so stupid?” Jun had once ask Aiba the question when the guy confessed to him in their last day in highschool. They were bestfriend. He knew Aiba was hurt eventhough the guy just laughed over the question. They never met again since graduation but 15 years later, Aiba was a genius who ran away from a dark organization because of a theory he was trying to prove. Aiba never want Jun to get involved in the problem, but for some reason, it just happen and now they’re together on the run.
(ii) Jun meet Aiba in bar one night as someone who was cheerful and lovely. The next time they meet, Aiba was an agressive and cold guy. (double-personality. Plot is up to the author)
(iii) inspired from the nonno photoshoot, please write up a travel by flight AU, and come out with a conflict. possibly not terrorism, but something related to drama,action etc. should end with junba romance.
Anyway, author. I love angst. I really love angst. Break me. Make me cry, i don’t care. Make me to think about your story for the whole week, i’ll appreciate it. Please enjoy writing the story, is the most important thing though. I’m sorry for the ‘dark’ prompt, but this is my gloomy side that i treasure so much XD still, you are free to write anything, but the pairing i want is a must. And i treasure side Ohmiya or Matsumiya in your story.

- Soulmate AU! Aiba had been mated either with Jun or Sakurai or Nino or even with Ohno. I would love to see their bonding and how Aiba would pamper his mate.
- Aiba works as a horticulturists, he's in love with nature. One day he met a gorgeous man slipped on the train platform, he looked stressful and Aiba with his kind heart wanted to cheer this stranger.
- Aiba couldn't decide which one should he choose between Jun and Sakurai, both have special place in his heart. He didn't want to let them go but he didn't want any of them got hurt either. Aiba had to make a decision (can be an OT3).
- Kizoku Tantei met Domyouji-sama and they had their journey to reveal a case together.
- Sakuraiba date. They met again after a long time separation, they were dating but losing each other contact as one of them need to go abroad to fulfill his duty (whether it's study or working, anything is fine). They met again after some years, things got awkward but they wanted to reminisce and tried their second chance.

Pairings/friendships I want, no, NEED (if you can only think of one pairing/friendship you want, please try to include at least one more for your mods' sakes): strongest preference for Aiba/Jun (romantic), but I also adore Aiba being friends with basically everyone. Sakuraiba BFFs warms my heart and childhood friend Aimiya will always win. Aiba and Ohno loving food together~ Just. Yeah. OT5 centered around Aiba is wonderful.

Genres: Romance (both comedy and drama), slice of life, friends-to-lovers, AU of basically any kind if something really strikes your fancy
Situations: Bed sharing (or sleeping together/in close proximity in general), mature!Aiba (so, like, Aiba being a reliable/strong/competent human being), Christmas!, maybe exes getting back together? I'm feeling current-era "grown up" stuff rn. A+ for protective and sincere friendship scenes like Sho checking in with Jun even though Aiba is his BFF, because Sho (platonically) loves them both or something. I like everyone having support.
Kinks: IDK. Communication and consent? I like emotionally tense scenes where partners talk to one another and make each other feel safe.
